Introduction
The objective of a design is the target of a design, which is people. People understand and react by design based on their experience and background. Hence designers must explore designs with an appropriate communication based on the target’s experience and background. But, people had have been changed and evolved with their environment, also, consumers as a target can evolve with their environment.
In the 21st century, people realize the importance of design that it associates with the consumers’ behaviors, so that design has a vital role in the branding. Design give more value to the price and image of the brand amongst competitive competitors. More than ever, designers must understand the market and the culture codes and social codes of a particular target; and make the stimulus elements and understand elements. Furthermore, systematic and strategic branding and design to maintain its recognition and equity.

Dr. Albert Inyoung Choi founded and a president of United Designs Alliance (UDA), a Global Design Organization, the director of the Design Research & Education Lab (DREL), an advisor of POOL magazine in India, an Honorary Professor at Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) in China, and professor of Brand Design at Hanyang University in Korea. He has taught at University of North Texas, and California State University Fullerton in the Visual Communication Design. Prior to become an educator, he worked for COY Los Angeles, a prolific graphic design firm in Los Angeles.
His areas of expertise include design research on branding, signage, and design methodology. Other side of his specialty is analyzing and making visual languages & cultures through creating images and posters conjunction with practical and experimental projects. Also, he is the author of ‘Hangeul-Gak,’ a personal collection and Hangeul experimental typography. He successfully completed a National Research Project, ‘National Standard of Street Name Sign and Building Number Sign System conjunction with New National Address System.’ He wrote a popular design book ‘Brand Design: Communication Design for Branding’ for the Korean readers and it is in progress to translating in many languages. He is recognized by many international design competitions and organizations. His posters are permanent collections of the Library of US Congress.
