THE CENTER FOR MEDIA AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

The Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) was initiated by SJTU scholars from multiple disciplines. Professor Guosong Shao is the Center's founding director. The Center is focused on the interactions between various media and public affairs and dedicated to developing an open, forward-looking, and constructive public communication research platform. It covers four research areas, i.e., political communication, risk communication, communication & technology, and communication law & policy. To facilitate the achievement of our goal, the Center will launch a variety of collaborations with national and local governments,  non-profit organizations and other social institutions so as to realize an open platform with integrated functions of research, training, and social services.
